Driving our RV on the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah
The third day of our trip was the first one we got to do something other than drive all day. After a quiet night at our Harvest Host, Snyder Winery, we got up and drove a couple hours through Nevada into Utah. Just inside the border of Utah we turned off I-80 and arrived at the Bonneville Salt Flats.
These salt flats are huge, and you can drive out on them if you so choose, which of course we did. once out on the flats we had some lunch and took some photos before sending up our new Skydio drone. The Skydio drone has a ton of AI and sensors in it which allowed us to drive the RV on the salt flats with the drone following us, pretty cool.
After leaving the salt flats we drove another couple of hours to just outside of Salt Lake City to spend our first night in an RV park. There's not much to report, it's definitely not our chosen method of camping but we figured it was such a long trip it would be nice to have luxuries now and then.
